The Washington County Animal Shelter works to lower the number of animal nuisance problems in the county and to increase the number of animals returned to their homes or adopted into loving homes. Since opening in 2012, we’ve averaged assisting over 2000 displaced or homeless pets per year.

Thank you for your cooperation. The Cabarrus County Animal Shelter is one of the core responsibilities of Cabarrus County Animal Control, a division of the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office. The shelter is an open admission shelter, which means we do not turn away any animal in need. Maricopa County Animal Care and Control employees are committed to animal welfare, and we are always looking to add talented individuals to our team, either at our West or East Valley Animal Care Centers. As one of the nation’s largest open-admission shelters, we work with our community to serve the animals and people of Maricopa County. Contact Us. Kim Stephens Supervisor.
